MoAna Project

Modeling & Testing Infrastructure for High-Efficiency 6G Antennas

Read about the project

About the project

MoAna (Modelling the Testing Infrastructure for Highly Efficient 6G Antennas) develops a fast, reverberation-chamber-based testing environment and a Ray-Tracing and Physical-Optics (RT-PO) simulation tool to accelerate over-the-air testing of integrated 6G antenna systems by more than 100 times. The aim is to enable fast validation and configuration of active antenna arrays where PA loading and mutual coupling strongly impact system efficiency.

The project combines modeling (KTH), chamber prototyping and test facilities (Antennex), and RF/microwave application insight with in-kind hardware support (Ampleon).

Project type: Research & Innovation
Orientation: 6G base-station testing (FR3 and beyond)
Partners: KTH, Antennex (NL), Ampleon (NL)
